Logan City Council is on a journey of transformation —and talent is at the heart of it. We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to play a pivotal leadership role in evolving our recruitment function into a strategic driver of business improvement.
In addition to leading the daily operations of the Talent team, you’ll play a central role in shaping our recruitment strategy. You’ll empower a high-performing group of Talent Acquisition Administration Officers and Partners, offering guidance rooted in insight, empathy, and forward-thinking innovation.
Your leadership will ensure the delivery of timely, accurate, and compliant recruitment services that enable hiring managers to attract and retain exceptional talent across the organisation.
Position Responsibilities include:
- Lead and supervise Talent Administration Officers to ensure timely, accurate administrative support for hiring managers.
- Provide day-to-day operational guidance and informal leadership to the recruitment team, including coaching, training, and feedback to support career development.
- Manage a dedicated caseload of specialised recruitment assignments by partnering closely with hiring managers to deliver end-to-end talent acquisition solutions. Provide proactive, practical recommendations, coaching, and strategic advice throughout the recruitment lifecycle, while also collaborating with external recruitment providers as needed to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Promote a positive, collaborative team culture through open communication and inclusive practices
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition Coordinator to drive excellence across end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to deliver strategic recruitment solutions for specialised roles.
- Champion compliance by ensuring recruitment practices align with relevant legislation (e.g. Privacy Act, Anti-Discrimination Act, EEO), Council policies, and local government directives.
- Ensure team members maintain a strong understanding of applicable laws and internal guidelines.
Key indicators for success:
- Qualifications in Business, Human Resource Management, Organisational Development and/ or equivalent experience will be well regarded.
- Strong knowledge of modern sourcing, assessment, and selection practices.
- Solid understanding of employment conditions, policies, and relevant legislation (e.g. Privacy Act, EEO, Anti-Discrimination)
- Proven experience leading end-to-end recruitment while managing a caseload.
- Ethical and transparent leadership style with the ability to coach and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels
- Highly organised, self-driven, and capable of managing competing priorities with confidence
