The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Yawei press brakes to produce precision-formed aluminium parts. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape aluminium components according to technical drawings and specifications.
* Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings accurately.
* Work within precise tolerances (±1mm and ±0.3°) to ensure high-quality output.
* Physically handle, lift, and support long or large parts during the folding process.
* Select and change dies and tools based on material thickness and type.
* Learn and understand the grain structure of aluminium and its effects on pressing outcomes.
* Perform basic maintenance routines and care on Yawei press brakes.
* Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
* Learn and support laser cutting operations and associated technology.
About You
* 2+ years of experience operating press machines, particularly Yawei machines, in a fabrication or automotive setting.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Forklift license and WHS/OHS training (advantageous).
