Objective: The Energy Consultant is responsible for delivering energy advisory services while proactively managing client relationships and supporting the commercial growth of Perdaman's Energy. This role combines technical expertise with sales and account management responsibilities. The position ensures clients receive accurate, high-quality energy solutions while also generating new business, identifying opportunities, and maintaining strong client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Energy Consulting
* Conduct energy audits, assessments, and technical evaluations.
* Analyse energy usage and identify improvement opportunities.
* Provide ongoing technical support for project delivery and implementation.
Sales & Business Development
* Promote Perdaman's Energy consulting services to new and existing clients.
* Prepare and present commercial proposals and value–based solutions.
* Support tender submissions and contribute to pricing strategies.
* Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.
Account Management
* Manage assigned client portfolios and act as the key point of contact.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships.
* Understand client needs and ensure service delivery meets expectations.
* Maintain accurate client records, pipelines, and activity logs.
Reporting & Coordination
* Prepare monthly updates on sales performance, pipeline activity, and client engagement.
* Collaborate with technical, finance, and operational teams to support project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
* Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Renewable Energy or related field).
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Experience
* 5-10 years' experience in renewable energy or energy–efficiency project delivery.
* Understanding of Australian energy regulations, rebates, and sustainability frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, or client account management.
* Experience in energy auditing, consulting, or a related technical discipline.
