Job Title: Health and Wellness Advisor
We are seeking a qualified professional to fill the role of Health and Wellness Advisor.
* This is an on-site position where you will work with clients to identify their goals and aspirations, build skills and job-readiness, and support them through interviews and into employment.
Key Responsibilities:
* You will conduct thorough assessments of candidates with a range of disability and barriers to employment
* Offer counselling intervention as needed, utilizing various psychological methodologies
* Refer candidates to additional external support services to help address barriers
* Provide evaluations on assessments and monitor the progression of cases
* Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates
* Provide training and guidance to staff on psychological services and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in psychology with eligibility for registration with APHRA is essential
* A relevant tertiary qualification in counselling, or eligibility to gain membership with ACA / PACFA, is also required
* Experience working within employment services is highly regarded but not essential
* You must have knowledge of psychology assessment/intervention strategies
* Excellent communication, rapport building skills, and engagement are necessary for success in this role
* You should be able to construct accurate and articulate case reports
* A proven ability to generate positive outcomes for clients is essential
* Able to provide a Police Clearance (within 6 months) and Work with Children's Check
