Works includes the construction of 14 kilometres of new lanes, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.Key accountabilities for the position:Reporting to the Project Manager:As an onsite project team ensure the project is delivered to overall program to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfactionManage a rolling 4-6 week look ahead be involved in 3- 6-month forward planningIdentify and mitigate risk, developing strategies and plansDrive subcontractor management to meet project outcomes and milestonesEnsure environmental, sustainability and quality contract requirements are met by coordinating & working collaboratively with these project teamsChampion safety and ensure safety processes are followed in line with legislative & project requirementsReview, interpret and manage contractsParticipate in client/contractor meetings.Financial forecasting and budget ownership for cost codesIdentify opportunities for process improvement and innovationProvide mentoring & training to project teams made of up cadets, grads, site engineersBe responsible for delivery of civil packages – earthworks, roads, drainage, pavements, RE walls, interface with bridges and structures teamsRequired Skills and CompetenciesYou will have a tertiary education in civil engineering, construction or similar.Advanced programming & planning skillsExcellent commercial acumen with confidence in managing contracts and forecastingAdvanced communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff and clients#LI-LG1ACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
