Nitmiluk Tours is a part of Jawoyn Association Aboriginal Corporation, a 100% wholly owned and operated Indigenous Tourism Operation within Nitmiluk National Park, and more broadly the region of Katherine, NT. We are the exclusive provider for touring the breath-taking Nitmiluk Gorge, located approximately 320km South of Darwin Northern Territory, Australia.

Your new role:
We are seeking a Tours Manager to join our team, commencing October 2024. Passion is a must This position will draw on many elements of personality and acquired skill. A role that involves an 'operations mind' parallel to a love for people and country.
Some key points include:
* Coordinate, manage and roll your sleeves up with the Tours (River, Caves and Cultural) Department, inspiring our team to provide the highest level of service to our guests.
* Set the standard for a strong safety mindset with particular focus on customer service and budget.
* Be a mature and calming influence in a high pressured, fast-paced environment, with the ability to sustain and drive positive team morale creating a culture that people want to be part of.
* Foster positive relationships with other managers, department heads and stakeholders to meet business needs and achieve outcomes.
* Be a progressive, creative professional who remains pragmatic and focused in a constantly changing environment.
* Enjoy coaching and developing your team to succeed professionally via regular meetings, personal development plans and training.
* Coordinate and oversee maintenance and asset management of resources.
What you will need to succeed:
* Previous proven experience in managing a Tours operation (Essential).
* NT Open Manual Drivers License.
* Coxswain Certificate (or ability to obtain).
* First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain).
* Ability to drive boat or willing to obtain Boat Driving Licence
* Ability to pass National Park Spiel test within the first 3 months so that can conduct the Tours, if needed.
* Strong skills in operations and adhering to the budget.
* A commercial mindset paired with the ability to have boots on the ground and pitch in to help where required.
* Genuine leadership ability steeped in passion for our people.
* Team-focused can-do attitude.
* A natural ability to build and maintain relationships.
* Genuine enthusiasm to connect with people and to hear their story.
* Exceptional communication skills.
* A love for country and an understanding of Aboriginal culture.
