You’ll be able to work close to home in a dynamic setting featuring cafes and retail options set amongst heritage buildings and open green spaces.The OpportunityMelton City Council seeks a fixed-term, full-time Team Leader to manage the School Crossings, Administration, and Prosecution programs for the Amenity Protection team.The role will report to the Coordinator Amenity Protection and will supervise over 100 school crossing staff and 6 administration officers. They will liaise with the Community Safety department, Council’s solicitor, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to managing these programs.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support School Crossing Supervisors, including training, rostering, uniforms, timesheets, leave, and performance monitoring.Organise the Community Safety Department’s prosecution program, including documentation processing, court appearances, liaising with legal representatives, and processing recovered funds in line with legislation.Monitor the School Crossing budget, identify discrepancies, and assist with budget development.This position requires out-of-hours work to arrange replacement school crossing supervisors.To view the Position Description, click here.About YouTo be successful, you will have the following:Tertiary qualification in Government (Statutory Compliance) or substantial relevant experience in a regulatory environment.Experience in court attendance and prosecution procedures.Knowledge and experience in rostering large groups.Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.Culture and ValuesOur vision is: "A vibrant, safe, and liveable city accessible to all."
