We are seeking a motivated Graduate/(or soon to be graduate) Civil Design Engineer to join our growing civil engineering team. Our office is located on the Mornington Peninsula and we offer a casual yet highly productive work environment.
This role provides hands-on experience across residential and commercial developments, with strong mentorship focusing on applied engineering practice and clear pathways for professional growth.
You will assist in preparing civil engineering designs and documentation suitable for construction, including the coordination and submission of engineering plans for council approval process where applicable.
About the Role
You will assist with detailed civil design and documentation for residential and commercial projects, including the preparation of civil calculations and drawings. Design work will primarily focus on stormwater drainage systems, including detention and infiltration systems, pumped systems, water quality treatment measures, pavements, and carparks.
You will also support the review of civil engineering designs to ensure compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and authority requirements, and assist with coordination across consultants, contractors, and councils.
You Will Need to Have
A minimum qualification of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering/equivalent.

In your final year as an undergraduate are also encouraged to apply.
* 0–2 years of industry experience (or relevant practical exposure) within residential and/or commercial projects (preferred)
* Sound knowledge of engineering first principles
Experience or exposure to:
* Pipe network layout and basic civil services coordination
* Hydrology and hydraulic principles for stormwater design, pipe flow and pressure pump systems
* Infiltration systems, including soak pit systems
* Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and technical design notes
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD (highly regarded)
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
* Strong willingness and ability to learn quickly
