Responsibilities:Create technical reports from site investigationsEdit reports created by others within the companyManage workflow for each project throughout the companyRequest access from property owners for drilling and coordinate with stakeholdersManage inventory of well suppliesKeep field notes and borehole logs according to state and company standardsLiaison between State agency project managers and the companySchedule field work as projects are ready to move forwardResearch site geology and nearby site reports to ensure accurate information for work plansDetermine locations for wells and soil boringsEnsure reports are completed by deadlinesResearch information helpful for bids for projectsPrepare field team for field workCalibrate the Photoionization Detector (PID)Ensure the team is properly equipped for the work (supplies, sample containers, work orders, project information, etc.
)Field Work:Manage team efforts in the fieldEnsure all equipment is maintained according to manufacturer and company standardsEnsure all client and company safety requirements are adhered to during field activitiesBe the point of contact between the company and the public as well as local, state, and federal government agenciesHelp with all field tasks to ensure they are completed on time and according to state and company standardsPerform field tasks specifically required to be done by a Geologist:Record borings to state and company standardsTake PID readingsComplete supporting paperwork (sample forms, etc.)
