**How will I help?** 
This is an exciting opportunity in the Treasury Risk second line function to support the Treasury team and Risk specialists in the testing of non-traded market risk models. The Treasury Risk team has high impact and visibility, and you will be helping that team build capability and maturity in the management of key models that relate to interest rate risk in the banking book under the obligations of APS117. 
The role will require insightful analysis to be conducted on models to identify emerging model issues, new insights and enhancements. You will provide key support to the Senior Manager, Treasury Market Risk Analytics, while providing guidance to the Senior Analyst in the team. 
Your role will also include: 
- Support the Senior Manager, Treasury Market Risk Analytics in the performance of the following tasks: 
- Develop controls related to interest rate risk in the banking book to ensure continued model validity and review efficacy on an ongoing basis 
- Enhance and maintain the APS117 model change register, including tracking of changes through to completion and assisting the Senior Analyst with training and documentation where required 
- Maintain a high standard of model governance through ongoing documentation of models, improvements to policies and frameworks and integrating governance into the model change register 
- Report and advise on remediation requirements where deficiencies in governance are found. 
- Work with Treasury Market Risk Analytics colleagues to ensure change is appropriately managed and change management processes are adhered to through the following tasks: 
- Act as liaison between Treasury, Treasury Risk, Finance and Technology where changes have an impact on APS117 models to ensure that model validity is maintained. 
- Provide expert knowledge as the SME for APS117 models to projects and continuous improvement teams as required. 
- Embed model risk considerations into the new product process and provide support to the product team for new product proposals. Analysis of all models impacted from business change and, where deemed necessary, advise on changes to models to maintain validity in new environment.**What’s in it for me?**

**What do I need?** 
You will bring with you at least 5 years’ experience in risk in financial services ideally in a non 
- traded market risk or similar role. You will have a good understanding of banking book risk and treasury processes including IRRB. 
In addition, you will have the following: 
- Interest in guiding junior members of the team. 
- Ability to deliver under the direction of senior leadership. 
- Proven experience of delivery under pressure. 
- Excellent stakeholder management experience across multiple business units. 
- Technical knowledge of one of the following is desirable: SQL, VBA, R or SAS. 
- An understanding of market risk concepts such as PV01, VaR or stress testing. 
- Solid written and verbal communication skills. 
- Strong numerical skills.
