Family Violence Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Violence Specialist to join our support services. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical assistance to women and children experiencing family violence.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong knowledge of risk assessment, trauma-informed care, and family violence frameworks. You will work collaboratively with local, regional, and statewide services to ensure victim survivors receive the best possible support.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or equivalency, along with experience in family violence crisis intervention and case management. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential for success in this role.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide crisis response, risk assessment, and case management for women and children escaping family violence.
* Demonstrate trauma-informed and strength-based support, prioritizing victim survivor safety and empowerment.
* Work within relevant frameworks and guidelines to manage risk and hold perpetrators accountable.
* Advocate for victim survivors and collaborate with local, regional, and statewide services.
* Participate in an after-hours on-call roster for crisis response.
