Job Description

Key Responsibilities
* Investigate work methods and costs on existing and past projects to assist with estimating activities
* Develop safe, innovative, practical and cost-effective methodologies for bids
* Prepare quality estimates from first principles and in conjunction with procurement packaging
* Assess project risks and opportunities
* Present detailed estimates for review and update as required
* Launch projects successfully, including developing budget estimates and financial success factors
* Represent the company at tender briefings and other client-facing activities
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field are preferred
* Strong demonstrable skills with Expert Estimator
* Past field experience with structures, earthworks and drainage to Main Roads standards
* High level analytical skills and commercial acumen
* Effective communication skills including interaction with people at all levels within the business, and external stakeholders and clients
* Strong attention to detail and drive, working unsupervised to produce accurate estimates within tight timeframes
* Demonstrated experience in first principles estimating using Expert Estimator or similar industry-standard software
