Your opportunity
Our Facilities and Risk & Security Teams play a critical role in maintaining our Westfield Destinations—supporting the delivery of extraordinary experiences in environments that are safe, clean, secure, and welcoming every day.
As the Compliance Coordinator for the QLD region, you will partner closely with centre teams to enable the delivery of key risk and compliance outcomes, while helping embed our People Protecting People culture into daily operations. This is a hands‐on, collaborative role where your expertise will directly support safer, more compliant centres.
Key responsibilities
* Partner with centre teams and provide regular support, insight and feedback to the Regional Manager on the delivery of key risk and compliance outcomes
* Work closely with centre leadership teams to proactively manage risk, safety and building compliance across day‐to‐day operations
* Coordinate and track compliance activities including audits, controls, inspections and action follow‐ups, providing clear and timely reporting to regional leadership
* Provide guidance, insight and hands‐on support during critical incidents, authority interactions and emerging compliance issues
* Collaborate with regional and national stakeholders to share best practice, support consistency and help evolve our compliance approach
* Support the rollout of new compliance processes, training and communications to build capability and understanding across centres
* Monitor risk registers and compliance actions to ensure issues are clearly understood, appropriately owned and effectively closed out
* Champion our People Protecting People culture by ensuring compliance is practical, embedded and genuinely lived across our teams
This role will require regular travel across Brisbane and Gold Coast centres.
What sets you apart from the rest?
You bring a strong understanding of safety, risk and compliance frameworks for technical and building services, ideally supported by experience in Facilities, Risk or Compliance Management. In addition, you will demonstrate:
* Strong attention to detail with a thorough and methodical approach
* Confidence to make sound decisions that balance safety, compliance and commercial outcomes
* The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly, practically and engagingly
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
* Working knowledge of building codes, Australian Standards and WHS regulations
* A motivated, collaborative mindset, comfortable working with and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders
