Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Land Management Specialist to join its team. This role will focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with landowners and local representatives across the WA Wheatbelt, supporting sustainable land management practices and carbon farming initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have significant demonstrable experience in the WA agriculture sector, with strong networks in State and Local Government. They will possess proven stakeholder management experience at senior levels, as well as sound knowledge of carbon farming methodologies under the CFI Act.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain positive relationships with landholders, local governments, Aboriginal enterprises, and industry stakeholders.
* Promote sustainable land management practices and educate communities on environmental and economic benefits.
* Organise workshops, field days, and engagement sessions to raise awareness and encourage participation.
* Navigate complex stakeholder relationships and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes.
* Support on-ground activities related to carbon farming, including tree planting and biodiversity enhancement.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company safety standards.
Requirements:
* Significant demonstrable experience in the WA agriculture sector.
* Proven stakeholder management experience at senior levels.
* Demonstrated experience in farming systems.
* Sound knowledge of carbon farming methodologies under the CFI Act.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and media).
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to varied responsibilities.
