As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join our leadership team based at our Paget office.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager and Managing Director, the Operations Manager – Diesel/Hydraulic Division will lead the day-to-day operations of the division, ensuring the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of workshop, field service, shutdown and project activities. This role is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across all areas of the division, ensuring resources, systems and personnel are aligned to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients while supporting business objectives.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive operational performance, workforce development, customer satisfaction and the continued growth of the Diesel/Hydraulic Division.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operational performance across workshop, field service, shutdown and project activities
Drive workforce planning, labour allocation and resource utilisation
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
Oversee project and shutdown planning, execution and delivery
Manage operational budgets, productivity and profitability targets
Monitor operational KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Provide leadership, coaching and support to operational teams
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality and legislative requirements
Support business growth through operational excellence and customer-focused service delivery
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior operational leadership role
Experience within mining, maintenance, engineering or construction
Strong leadership and workforce management capabilities
Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, solutions-focused approach to leadership
Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
Business or Management qualifications
