Director of Sport
Moreton Bay College (MBC) is seeking an experienced, inspiring and strategic Director of Sport to lead our P–12 co‐curricular and House sporting programs. This senior leadership role reports directly to the Principal and plays a key part in shaping a culture that celebrates participation, achievement, teamwork and student wellbeing. Sport is a cornerstone of life at MBC. Supported by passionate staff, engaged families and a proud community of alumnae, our sporting program involves more than 100 teams across 21 sports and enjoys a strong reputation for excellence at all levels. MBC is also the first Australian school accredited by the World Academy of Sport (WAoS). Through this partnership, our Athlete Development Programme (ADP) provides tailored support for high‐performing student‐athletes, enabling them to pursue sporting goals while thriving academically. The Director of Sport leads and champions this important program.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the College's P–12 co‐curricular and House sporting programs, setting a clear vision for participation, performance and wellbeing.
* Oversee more than 100 teams across 21 sports, including interschool, state, national and club competitions.
* Drive continuous improvement in coaching quality, student experience and program growth.
Coaching & Professional Development
* Lead a committed team including the Head of Primary Sport, specialist coaches, teachers and support staff.
* Recruit, develop and mentor coaches to deliver high‐quality, student‐centred coaching.
* Ensure all staff complete annual induction in child safety, WHS and College policies.
Student Engagement & Wellbeing
* Champion student participation, sportsmanship and engagement in alignment with College values.
* Maintain strong visibility at training and events, fostering connections with teams and families.
* Support the Athlete Development Programme (ADP) for elite student‐athletes.
Community & External Partnerships
* Build strong relationships with sporting organisations, community clubs and external associations.
* Represent MBC at relevant sporting, educational and association meetings.
* Partner with the Marketing team to celebrate student achievements and promote sport at MBC.
Financial & Resource Management
* Manage the College's sports budget, facilities and equipment needs.
* Work closely with the HPE Department and Grounds teams to ensure facilities are safe, maintained and well utilised.
Experience, Skills & Attributes
* Proven leadership experience in school sport, sports administration or education.
* Strong understanding of contemporary coaching and wellbeing practices.
* Exceptional communication, organisation and conflict‐resolution skills.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students and staff.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, sports management or related fields.
* Willingness to travel with sporting tours and competitions.
Registration
* Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) is required.
Conditions
* Permanent Teacher appointment with a Co‐curricular PAR.
* Term 3 2026 start or by negotiation.
