Job Description
The Senior Category Manager reports directly to the Head of Procurement. This role leads all commercial aspects of Indirect category spend, focusing on sourcing, contracting, and managing suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier contracts to ensure maximum value is provided by suppliers.
* Developing an Indirect procurement strategy that includes challenging current supply network design, modal choice, utilization, equipment, and continuous improvement programs.
* Actively managing risks associated with external spend, including commercial, contract, supplier dependency, financial, safety, service, and reputation.
* Engaging and coordinating Infrabuild personnel at different levels in managing relationships with key suppliers.
* Working closely with critical suppliers to identify and execute strategic projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:
* At least 7 years of commercial experience with proven expertise in relationship management and understanding of Indirects.
* Proven experience in delivering effective commercial outcomes and contract management.
* Knowledge of the Indirects category is essential.
* Strong commercial skills, with demonstrated experience in negotiating and managing complex large-spend contracts.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across various levels, including General Managers and other senior personnel.
