About The Role
Ventia have been engaged by the DJCS (Department of Justice and Community Safety) to provide integrated Facility Management and Asset Management services incorporating planned, remedial, and reactive maintenance services, ad hoc services, and soft services including cleaning, ground, pest, and waste streams.
As our scope of works has expanded, we are now seeking a vibrant and energetic Asset Information Officer to assist in the proactive and reactive management of these facilities based out of our offices in Cremorne, VIC.
You'll help steward a diverse, high‑value DJCS portfolio, correctional, youth justice and emergency facilities by maintaining asset data integrity, driving lifecycle planning, and enabling evidence‑based decisions aligned to ISO 55001 and the Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF).
The Asset Information Officer will be responsible for the following:
Operational & Technical Duties:
1. Maintain asset data integrity across systems including SAP and CAMS.
2. Ensure condition data is updated annually.
3. Support asset performance reviews and reporting.
4. Audit maintenance records and identify remediation opportunities.
5. Develop lifecycle plans and forecasts tailored to operational needs.
6. Assist in implementing asset management processes and systems.
7. Establish data governance (standards, naming conventions, hierarchies) and own CMMS compliance.
8. Own the build and publishing of dashboard reporting and setting frequent reporting cadences with stakeholders.
9. Contribute to ISO 55001‑aligned AMS documentation (policies, procedures, workflows) and assurance.
Stakeholder Engagement:
10. Liaise with internal teams and DJCS representatives.
11. Collaborate with subcontractors, consultants, and auditors.
12. Maintain strong robust relationships with stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance:
13. Conduct annual audits to inform service delivery improvements.
14. Identify and implement lifecycle renewal opportunities.
15. Ensure alignment with the Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF).
16. Uphold SHEQ standards across all activities.
17. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
General Duties:
18. Attend meetings, maintain workspace standards, and support team objectives.
19. Report compliance issues and contribute to a safe, efficient work environment.
20. Develop and maintain strong site operational knowledge
21. Familiarity with systematised approaches to information management
22. Exposure and competencies with CMMS systems and MS Office
23. Understanding of Essential Safety Measures in Victoria
About You
You're a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in data analysis, engineering, or facilities asset management. You thrive in collaborative environments, can manage multiple stakeholders, and have a knack for turning data into actionable insights. You're comfortable working with systems like SAP, CAMS, and PowerBI, and you bring a proactive mindset to continuous improvement and compliance.
Candidate Skillset & Experience
Education & Qualifications:
24. Tertiary qualification in Data Analysis, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
25. Asset management credentials (desirable).
Technical Competencies:
26. Hands on experience in facilities asset management, planning, and condition monitoring.
27. Familiarity with ISO 55001-aligned systems.
28. Strong analytical and reporting skills.
29. Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, PowerBI, and Microsoft Office.
30. Comfort leading data governance and end‑user enablement (training, SOPs).
Skills & Attributes:
31. Excellent time management and communication skills.
32. Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
33. Strong client focus with adaptability and resilience.
34. Experience in CAPEX planning and lifecycle modelling.
35. Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and enterprise mindset.
Thie role will require police checks/security vetting for custodial sites. Candiate must be able to achieve and hold a working with children check.
