Reintegration Support Worker (Derby)
Centacare Kimberley Limited is seeking the services of a full-time Support Workers located in Derby. Your role will be to provide Reintegration support to people leaving prison, who are referred to the service by Department of Justice staff at Derby Regional Prison.
This is an exciting role that would suit someone who is motivated to provide quality services to local people; and has the skills to deliver structured case managed support.
If you are a good communicator who can effectively engage with people and have a good level of experience in delivering social support services, we would like you to apply for this job. Applicants should have experience and/or a qualification in community services.

The hours of employment are 38 hours per week; and at times will consist of weekend work and remote travel across the Kimberley.

ESSENTIAL:
* Knowledge and understanding of the social, emotional and economic issues facing people living in the Kimberley region.
* Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture, inter-generational trauma, and the impacts of colonization and dispossession on Aboriginal people in the Kimberley.
* Effective communication skills, strong engagement skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
* Experience with delivering structured case managed support in a social services context.
* Ability to work as a team member.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* A 'National Police Check Clearance.' (less than 3 months old)
* A current 'Working with Children Check Clearance.
* A current Western Australian 'C' class motor vehicle driver's license.
* Security Clearance from the Department of Justice.
DESIRABLE:
* Aboriginal people are strongly encouraged to apply.
* Accredited 4x4 training for Reintegration role.
* Accredited First Aid for Reintegration role.
* Relevant working experience and/or qualifications in one of the following fields: Community Services; Justice, Community Development or Housing
