About The Role

Brisbane Private Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Registered/Clinical Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established General Surgical & Paediatric unit on a full time basis.

We are a 32‐bed, fast‐paced, high‐turnover ward specialising in ENT/Orthopaedics/Plastics and Paediatrics (both adult and paeds), along with other general surgical specialities. Having many surgical specialities, this is an ideal role for a surgical nurse wanting to use and grow their skills.

About Us

Brisbane Private is a 181‐bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane's leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.

Work Schedule

* 8 or 12 hour shifts
* No on‐call
* Full time role – Monday to Friday with occasional weekends

As a Clinical Nurse Your Responsibilities Will Include

* Adhering to ACORN standards and hospital policy and procedure
* Providing evidence‐based nursing care
* Providing clinical expertise and depth to the plastics theatre teams
* Liaising with the multidisciplinary team
* Ensuring patient and staff safety
* Ensuring eLearning and mandatory training is completed on a regular basis
* Liaising with surgeons regarding equipment

Essential Criteria

* Minimum 5 years acute hospital experience as a Registered/Clinical Nurse
* Current Registration with AHPRA
* Commitment to Quality Patient Care
* Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Works well independently and within a team
