About the Role
Darebin's People & Culture function includes five key areas: Culture & Capability; Business Partnering & People Practices; Payroll; and Health, Safety and Wellbeing. This position leads the provision of accurate and timely advice and consultancy services to Council's leaders and staff. You will lead a team of hands-on People & Culture generalists and contribute to workforce planning, job design, performance and capability, people management, employee relations and industrial relations, engagement and change to support the organisation's culture, goals and objectives.
The role works across People & Culture, seeking input, sharing ideas, and providing strategic input into People Strategy delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of HR generalists delivering end-to-end HR advisory and support services
Provide strategic input into People & Culture priorities and workforce planning
Advise Council leaders and staff on people management, performance and change
Oversee employee relations, industrial relations, and change management
Collaborate with Payroll, Health, Safety & Wellbeing and related functions
Skills & Experience
You will have a tertiary qualification in human resources or industrial relations, with demonstrated experience in managing a business partnering team and enterprise bargaining processes in a complex environment.
