Join Our Perioperative Team as an Operations Assistant
Looking to gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting or pick up some extra shifts during the week?
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone studying nursing or health sciences who's keen to develop practical skills and experience in an operating theatre environment.
Primary day:Friday (between 7:00am – 6:30pm)
Additional shifts:Opportunity to pick up extra shifts during staff leave
In this role, you will:
Assist nurses with preparing equipment and supporting safe patient movement between Day Stay and Theatres.
Help maintain clean, safe, and ready operating rooms between procedures.
Check and maintain essential equipment used in patient care.
Receive full training in reprocessing (cleaning) endoscopes – an excellent foundation for anyone pursuing a healthcare career.
We are looking for someone who has:
You are attentive and proactive, ready to stay one step ahead.
You have an understanding of manual handling, infection control, and workplace safety, and are comfortable thinking on your feet to solve problems as they arise.
Above all, you are friendly and approachable, able to put patients at ease and make their experience as comfortable as possible.
