Overview

Armada is a growing, high‐performing accounting and financial planning group with a team of over 115 members. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Practice Manager to oversee daily operations and manage the operational, compliance, and business support functions of the firm.

Previous experience in a professional services environment (ideally accounting or financial services) is highly desirable, however we are equally open to exceptional operational leaders from similar complex, people‐led environments.

This role works closely with the Directors and our People and Culture Manager across all aspects of firm management – from practice operations to finance, systems, policies and procedures, and strategic growth.

This is a pivotal role ensuring the business runs efficiently so our professionals can focus on delivering excellent outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the firm's operational, administrative, and practice management functions to ensure consistent, high‐quality day‐to‐day performance across all service lines.

Oversee daily financial administration, including supplier invoicing, reconciliations, some expense management, and support of office account processes.

Team reporting, budgets, forecasting, and analysis.

Prepare and review regular and ad‐hoc financial and operational reports to support Directors with strategic and performance‐based decision making.

Work with Directors to monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide leadership to administration team on IT, systems and processes and process improvements.

Assist with maintaining firm‐wide compliance with risk, privacy, WHS, and legal industry regulatory obligations.

Act as the firm's internal lead for technology and business systems, liaising with external IT providers and software vendors.

Champion internal operational software requirements and expedite issues or project needs as required.

Oversee technology, systems, and operational improvement projects (e.g., practice management systems, cybersecurity, data privacy, MFA).

Key Skills & Experience
* Experience in a senior operations, office, or practice management role within a professional services environment.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience in accounts management, reporting, budgeting, and financial governance support.
* Strong systems and IT capability, including experience overseeing business systems, vendors, and technology projects.
* Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate financial and operational data clearly.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and improve complex operational systems, workflows, and processes.
* High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive information.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
* Proactive, solutions‐focused, and calm under pressure.
* Project management experience and the ability to drive cross‐functional initiatives.
* Demonstrated experience leading change, implementing new systems, and managing organisational transition.
