About the role
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the effective development, coordination and delivery of a professional Emergency and Resilience Management Services throughout West Moreton Health (WMH), through the delivery of a contemporary fire and emergency management programs.
**The key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Development of the WMH Fire Safety Program consistent with Queensland Building Fire Safety regulations, Department of Health policies, relevant building standards and Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) Standards.
- Manage building fire safety requirements, inspections and audits of fire protection systems and equipment ensuring compliance with legislation and approved policy/guidelines and provide governance on rectification of identified issues.
About you
- Demonstrated ability to manage fire systems and emergency management principles within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, organise and coordinate work activities and liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels of a large and diverse organisation
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills across a range of disciplines.
- Demonstrated and proven performance in leading the implementation of quality improvement practices and organisational change.
- Ability to deliver fire safety and emergency and resilience management training to a broad range of stakeholders
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
