Join the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) and help locals become safe, smart road users.
The Role
Join our Kalgoorlie team as a Regional Officer, delivering exceptional service and ensuring compliance across the Goldfields. You’ll carry out driving assessments (where qualified), complete On Demand Transport checks, and champion road safety in the community.
Represent DTMI with professionalism—providing clear guidance, managing compliance actions, preparing reports, and travelling to some of the region’s most remote and unique locations.
There is currently 1 permanent position available for immediate filling.

Key Requirements:
- WA driver’s licence and safe driving record; able to conduct assessments if qualified. (C-class is great, R and HR are even better!)
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Independent, adaptable, and willing to travel.
- Flexible to perform varied duties, including counter service and admin.
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain, a Coxswain 2 or equivalent.
