DIESEL MECHANICS / FITTERS - BDS ROCKHAMPTON + GRACEMERE
We’re offering full time, permanent positions for Diesel Mechanics or Fitters to join our field service team in Rockhampton and Gracemere. This is a great opportunity to become part of a well-established, reputable, and stable company with long-term career prospects.
The successful candidates will possess the following:
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- Diagnostic experience
- Good communication skills
- Experience on trucks and trailers
- Heavy earthmoving experience a bonus
- Strong fault finding skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Truck license preferred
- Extra skills, experience, tickets and licenses will be advantageous
Your duties will include:
- Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
- General Repairs/maintenance works – Trucks & Trailers/4×4’s
- Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
- Checking vehicle lighting systems
- Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
