What you'll be doing
As Nurse Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to the Emergency Department, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient and high quality nursing care while meeting key performance targets.
* Lead and coordinate ED services, workforce and resource management
* Drive performance across patient flow, triage and treatment targets
* Oversee recruitment, rostering and workforce planning within budget
* Champion quality, safety and compliance with national standards
* Develop innovative models of care and lead service improvement initiatives

Essential Criteria
* Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent work experience as deemed appropriate by the organization.
* Demonstrated understanding of contemporary health care delivery issues impacting on the delivery of emergency services.
* Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff to achieve service and professional goals through recognised change management processes.
* Demonstrated ability to utilise high level problem solving, financial management and analytical skills to monitor key performance indicators and evaluate service provision.
* Demonstrated capacity to integrate the principles of patient centred care, clinical governance, and quality improvement into nursing practice within the emergency department.
* Demonstrated ability to undertake planning for and monitor performance in areas of responsibility for both individuals and teams.
* Demonstrated highly developed communication skills with the capability to liaise with multidisciplinary teams, resolve conflicts and manage performance issues.
