**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**
The Human Resources Officer is required to provide proactive, timely, accurate, responsive and high-quality customer focussed Human Resources services and advice. This includes operation of Council's Human Resources Information Systems and processes, assisting employees and hiring managers with recruitment and selection of employees, and the provision of first line advice and support to employees and management on a wide range of human resources policies and procedures.
This position will participate in and/or act as a resource in support of significant Human Resources events and projects. It will also assist in the review, development and implementation of Human Resources Policies and Procedures, and Human Resources Systems and Processes in conjunction with the Human Resources team and People & Culture department.
The successful person will be liaising with the leaders on a daily basis to provide general HR advice, support and guidance on a range of employment matters including policies, employment forms, contracts, performance management, and Enterprise Agreement interpretation.
