Working within our SIL (Supported Independent Living) homes,you will provide support, assisting people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, whether they have complex needs or just need some additional support at home. No two days will be the same - you may hear that phrase a lot but here at Endeavour Foundation, you will see it in action!

Other key duties will include:

* Helping people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing important daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
* Assisting with aspects of personal care where required to meet the individual needs of the people we support.
* Supporting with meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community connection by socialising and going on outings.
* Providing support during daily activities such as going for a walk, going to the movies or accompanying to an appointment.
* Helping the people we support to maintain a connection to their family, friends, and services.

We are currently recruiting for our Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses located in Nambour, Mapleton, Palmwoods, and Tewantin.

To be considered for these roles, you must have flexible availability, including the capacity to work a variety of shifts such as mornings, evenings, sleepovers, and active awake shifts.

Please note that the available role in Mapleton, requires availability to work consecutive sleepovers.

Our Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a calm, compassionate, and professional Disability Support Worker with an empathetic, person-centred approach. This role involves providing personal care, including full-assist showers, toileting, and regular prompting to support individuals in completing daily tasks. Experience in epilepsy management, as well as supporting people with intellectual disabilities and complex behaviours, is highly valued, especially if you are confident working within and following Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP). Knowledge of stoma and bowel care is also beneficial, though we are happy to provide training for the right candidate. Most importantly, you bring a genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for people with disability, and you believe in making every moment meaningful by actively engaging individuals in their daily routines and goals.

We also require:

* A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including multiple sleepovers per week.
* Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
