 
        
        Senior Lecturer in Clinical Education (Communication Skills and Reflective Practice)
Griffith University is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Education to make significant contributions to the teaching effort of the School of Medicine and Dentistry and play a major role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities.
The successful candidate will be expected to make independent and original contributions to research which have significant impact on the field of expertise. This position offers a unique opportunity for a clinically qualified academic to establish a career in medical education.
The role forms part of an academic team that oversees the learning and assessment of medical students and contributes to delivery of relevant aspects of the curriculum in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, which encompasses communication skills and reflective practice, informed by contemplative pedagogy and contextualised to the practice of medicine.
The key responsibilities of the position include ensuring and verifying that students in the MD acquire the understanding and skills related to communication skills and reflective practice required of an Australian medical graduate, and contributing to curriculum development, delivery and assessment relevant to their area of expertise.
The position is available as either full-time (1.0 FTE) or part-time as a job-share arrangement. The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Senior Lecturer (Level C) range $138,702 - $159,936 per annum + 17% superannuation.
Qualifications
We are seeking applicants for this role from candidates who possess:
 * A medical degree from a recognised educational institution.
 * Ahpra registration or Aphra registrable clinical qualification.
 * A doctoral or master's qualification of equivalent accreditation and standing and/or professional fellowship; or significant progress towards completion of a master's or doctoral degree in a relevant discipline or field, or professional fellowship is a desirable criterion.
