In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
* Inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories, and electrical systems;
* Conducting routine pre–flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment;
* Maintaining thorough records of actions taken;
* Assembling components, parts and subassemblies of aircraft engines and equipment, and;
* Testing, maintaining, replacing, and upgrading aircraft safety equipment.
The essential requirements for this Aircraft Maintenance Engineer role include:
* 2+ years experience on Dash 8 Q200, Q300 and Q400 aircraft (or similar type, e.g. turboprop aircraft);
* Trade Certificate IV (Mechanical), (Structures) or (Avionics);
* Highly skilled and competent in aircraft mechanical system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components;
* Strong team player;
* Ability to follow supervisory direction;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Consistent positive and proactive attitude;
* Passion for safe work practices;
* Valid work visa;
* Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain); and,
* Current Australian Driver's licence.
Additional Requirements:
* Shifts will be primarily Monday to Friday day shifts, with some possible early/late & night shifts;
* Flexibility to work in Cairns;
* Ability to commit to flexible working arrangements.
