Physiotherapist (Grade 2) – Community Rehabilitation

Location: Caulfield Hospital, Melbourne – full time, 80 hours per fortnight (full-time), flexible monthly annual discretionary overtime.
12‑month parental leave position commencing 16 February 2026.
Physiotherapy Grade 2, Year 1‑4 (VB1–VB4).
Minimum 3 years clinical experience in Physiotherapy. Recent experience in rehabilitation or aged care.
The Department
The Alfred Health Community Rehabilitation Program, situated at Caulfield Hospital, comprises Home Based, Centre Based, and Falls Clinic services. It provides a comprehensive client‑centred rehabilitation service that is responsive to the needs of the community. Eligible clients are assisted by an interdisciplinary team—including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers, Allied Health Assistants, a Registered Nurse, Rehabilitation Consultant, Pharmacist, Dietitians, a Clinical Psychologist and a Neuropsychologist—to achieve their goals following an illness or injury.
The Role
As a Physiotherapist within the Community Rehabilitation Program, you will provide excellent client‑centred rehabilitation services to clients both in their homes and at our rehabilitation centre. The clinical caseload is varied, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop expertise in working with a broad range of clinical diagnoses. The successful candidate will have access to a range of professional development activities.
Qualifications Required
* Degree in Physiotherapy
* Current Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
* Eligible for membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA)
* Current Victorian Driver's Licence (unrestricted)
Key Capabilities
* Minimum three years' clinical experience in Physiotherapy
* Recent experience in rehabilitation or aged care
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
* Demonstrated understanding and commitment to principles of continuous quality improvement
* Demonstrated ability to evaluate and modify service delivery in accordance with evidence‑based practice
* Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills to promote teamwork
* Strong theoretical knowledge base and experience in orthopaedics, neurology and gerontology
* Demonstrated participation in professional development relevant to the position
