The opportunity
Sawyers Arms Tavern is seeking two passionate and experienced Sous Chef's to join our team. The first role is in Eileen's Charcoal Grill and the second role is in our newly acquired hotel - Gold Diggers Arms.
As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for running different sections of the kitchen ensuring the highest standards of excellence and working closely with our head chefs.
The business recently won the Australian Hotel Association Award for best casual dining (Victoria). It also has high google ratings and known for its excellent food within the town and industry. Providing a great opportunity to work with some of the industries best chefs and management staff.
Key responsibilities
* Work closely with the head chef
* Manage staff, sections of the kitchen and undertake food preparation
* Maintain strict quality control and food safety standards
* Support the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
What we're looking for
* Minimum 6 years as a chef, and 2 years as a junior sous chef or sous chef
* Excellent culinary skills with a strong understanding of Chefs/Cooks industry standards
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
