Westgold Resources is shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia and offers a permanent full‐time role to join our growing underground team. This position provides structured training, OEM support, and hands‐on experience to surface HD Fitters looking to build a career in underground maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and service underground mobile equipment.
* Diagnose faults and complete breakdown and preventative maintenance.
* Follow maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
* Support maintenance planning and improvement initiatives.
* Liaise with contractors and site stakeholders.
* Attend ongoing OEM training and upskilling sessions.
This role is ideal for surface HD Fitters who want underground experience with full support.
Eligibility & Qualifications
* WA C‐class manual driving licence.
* Relevant trade qualification (HD Fitter / Diesel Mechanic).
* Underground or heavy‐industry experience (surface experience welcomed).
* Experience with Sandvik, CAT, Epiroc or Volvo equipment – advantage.
* CMMS experience (Pronto desirable).
* Diagnostic systems such as CATET or SIS – desirable.Strong troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills.
* Solid computer literacy (MS Office).
