About the role
We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team at Sanctum Harbourtown in Biggera Waters, Queensland. As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen team and ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. This is a full-time position.
What you'll be doing
1. Oversee all kitchen operations, including, food preparation, quality control
2. Manage and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff
3. Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and flavour
4. Implement and maintain efficient kitchen procedures and processes
5. Monitor and control food and labour costs to maintain profitability
6. Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused kitchen culture
What we're looking for
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role
2. Proven track record of successfully managing a high-volume kitchen operation
3. Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and food trends
4. Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to motivate and develop your team
5. Excellent time management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
6. Passion for creating exceptional dining experiences and a commitment to using high-quality, fresh ingredients
7. Thorough knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
