Our client, a well-established and leading Tasmanian-based manufacturer in the nutritional supplements sector, is looking for a dedicated Cleaning Coordinator to join their growing team. This vital role ensures the facility maintains rigorous hygiene and food safety standards necessary for their state of the art manufacturing facility.
You'll be joining a recognised Tasmanian Employer of Choice, known for strong support of local and community engagement. This is a permanent part-time role offering a minimum of 15 hours per week, primarily during weeknights (some weekends required).
About the job
Reporting to the QA & Food Safety Culture Manager, you will be responsible for upholding and documenting the highest standards of hygiene.
* Team Leadership: Direct and oversee the tasks of a small team, assisting with performance related feedback in collaboration with QA and HR teams.
* Cleaning Operations: Perform and supervise daily and scheduled commercial cleaning across production, warehouse and shared areas.
* Specialised Equipment: Confidently and safely operate industrial cleaning machinery, including walk-behind floor scrubbers, steam cleaners, and CIP (Clean in Place) equipment.
* Collaboration: Work proactively with Production, Maintenance and Quality Assurance staff to coordinate efficient cleaning schedules.
* Safety: Strictly adhere to all chemical handling, hygiene and PPE requirements in a food manufacturing setting.
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who takes pride in their work and has an unwavering commitment to hygiene.
What you will bring:
* Experience: At least 2 years of experience in commercial cleaning. Experience within a food manufacturing or regulated environment is highly desirable.
* Physical Fitness: Must be physically capable of performing a wide range of cleaning tasks, including manual scrubbing and be comfortable working in confined spaces.
* Safety Focus: A commitment to workplace health and safety regulations.
* Food Safety Commitment: As this is a food facility, you must be willing to adhere to strict rules, including no jewellery or artificial nails and the ability to fully cover hair (including facial hair) with PPE when entering production rooms.
