We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing your strong understanding of operations within the transportation and logistics industry to drive performance and efficiency.
As an Operations Supervisor, you will leverage technology to make data-driven decisions and uphold safety, compliance, and quality practices. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for building strong relationships with your team and stakeholders.
You will provide leadership and training to the team, helping them develop their skills and ensure a high-performing environment. You will oversee parcel lifecycle returns, driver bookings, and route optimization, ensuring that safety standards, quality service, and core values are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to developing and refining processes and procedures to ensure optimal station operations.
* Oversee all operational activities related to parcel returns, driver booking, and route optimization.
* Analyse performance reports related to KPIs, budgets, and forecasts, adjusting operations as necessary to meet objectives.
* Direct and delegate routes and work to teams, ensuring efficient process to meet key customer KPIs.
* Maintain a safe and secure environment for all employees and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with teams to oversee the delivery process and take proactive steps to ensure deliveries are on time and accurately completed.
* Develop and nurture positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead by example, offering coaching and support to team members to meet and exceed performance targets.
* Implement targeted training and action plans when needed.
