Thales' Secure Information & Communications Systems (SIX) division provides secure communication solutions, information systems and cybersecurity services to support the work of defence and government clients. Our systems are designed to protect sensitive information from cyber threats, ensuring its security and integrity in critical environments.
Our Graduate Program focuses on developing early career talent to help us deliver tomorrows high-tech solutions. Over the 18-month program you will engage in on-the-job training, mentoring, a graduate project and structured learning modules.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Located in Rydalmere, on Darug land, your day-to-day role could include:
* Understanding and analysing customer requirements
* Assisting in developing solutions and alternative tests for demonstration cases
* Helping implement and verify solutions
* Produce engineering reports, specification and design documents
* Effectively plan and execute activities ensuring projects keep to time
* Assist with commissioning and troubleshooting computer and communications systems on land or naval platforms
* Continually learn, understand and assimilate new information, concepts and practises
ABOUT YOU
* Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems, Mechatronic or Tele-communications Engineering (graduating by end of 2026)
* Leadership capability demonstrated through previous employment, internship or extra-curricular activities whilst studying university.
* Desire to work in a diverse team, and towards a common goal.
* Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills.
* Self-motivated, proactive, detail orientated and organised.
AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE ROLES & SECURITY
A Defence security clearance is required for this role. Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a clearance.
Additional information with regards to clearances is available from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website http://www.defence.gov.au/AGSVA/. In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role. The Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA) is applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
