Campus development and services at UniSC Sunshine Coast seeks a seasoned professional to lead the development, implementation, and review of strategic campus planning documents.
The successful candidate will ensure all developments maintain high-quality design established across UniSC's campuses and study nodes.
Key responsibilities include leading planning for new major projects, preparing business cases with design and cost estimates, as well as funding and planning applications.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of campus master plans and design standards, ensuring alignment with UniSC's strategic goals and stakeholder needs;
* Manage the design and planning phases of capital projects, including new builds, refurbishments, and reconfigurations, from concept through documentation and cost estimation;
* Develop business cases and funding applications for major infrastructure projects, incorporating design, sustainability, and financial considerations; and
* Oversee procurement processes such as tenders and expressions of interest, ensuring compliance with UniSC policies and delivering value for investment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a strong background in architecture, urban design, or strategic facilities planning, ideally within the educational or public sector.
You bring extensive experience in master planning, capital project design, and stakeholder engagement, adept at translating strategic objectives into actionable development plans.
Technical proficiency includes AutoCAD, Revit, GIS, and project management software, enabling you to lead complex design and planning initiatives with precision and innovation.
A collaborative leader, you possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and can confidently engage senior executives, academics, and diverse stakeholders to build consensus and drive project outcomes.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in architecture, urban design, town planning, or strategic facilities planning are required.
Extensive experience in master planning and capital project delivery, including design documentation, stakeholder engagement, and business case development, is essential.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and lead across diverse stakeholder groups, are necessary.
