Our client is a family-owned and operated cattle station located halfway between Rolleston and Injune. Running an Angus breeder herd across two properties, the cattle enterprise is well set-up, well managed, and offers a welcoming environment for the right caretaking couple.
As the Caretaker Couple, you will work together to keep day-to-day jobs running smoothly and support the experienced permanent station team. You will report directly to the station owners and be relied upon as trusted all-rounders who take initiative and get things done.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
* Carry out general caretaking duties including checking waters, maintaining troughs, mowing, and basic repairs.
* Inspect and repair fencing, including running fence lines regularly.
* Assist with animal feeding and care when owners are away.
* Undertake cattle or machinery work if capable and required.
Selection Criteria:
* Previous experience on the land and confidence with general station tasks.
* A reliable couple who work well together as a team and show initiative.
* Flexible, practical, and happy to get on with the job as needed.
* Available for a medium-term commitment of around 6-12 months or preferably, longer.
