About the role We’re on the lookout for a Senior Communications Officer to bring energy, creativity, and strategic thinking to our team! This role is at the heart of delivering several initiatives – from developing and implementing communications plans to creating content that connects with our organisation. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders, drive exciting new initiatives, and bring innovative ideas to life to support our strategic objectives. We’re seeking someone with proven expertise in engagement and internal communications, a communications all-rounder who loves making a real impact in an organisation focused on child safety. We are seeking a motivated and resilient person to: Develop, implement and evaluate communication strategies, plans and campaigns to support the objectives of the Office of the Children's Guardian. Prepare high quality written material including communication plans, assets, reports, and briefs. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure consistency in the delivery and evaluation of communication initiatives. Produce project plans and reports to ensure outcomes and expectations are achieved. Deliver evaluation reports to improve visibility of activity, identify and disseminate good practice in communication delivery. Key knowledge and experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as influence and negotiation skills. Experience in developing and producing campaign and digital communications content for key stakeholder audiences in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Experience in child-safety or a regulatory environment would be highly desirable but not required Essential Requirements Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience. All roles within the Office of the Children's Guardian are required to have a current Working with Children Check.
