Position Overview: Due to increasing demand for restorative and prosthetic treatments, Cowra Dental Group is seeking a full-time Dental Technician to support its clinical operations. The role involves designing, fabricating, modifying, and repairing dental prostheses and appliances in accordance with dentists’ prescriptions, ensuring high standards of accuracy, functionality, and aesthetics. Working closely with the clinical team, the position contributes to the delivery of quality patient outcomes across a range of treatments, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant-supported restorations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpreting dental prescriptions and treatment plans to determine specifications for dental
prostheses and appliances.
2. Constructing, modifying, and repairing dental prostheses, including crowns, bridges,
dentures, and implant-supported restorations.
3. Selecting and working with appropriate materials such as metals, ceramics, acrylics, and
digital components to achieve required functional and aesthetic outcomes.
4. Taking measurements and preparing models and moulds from dental impressions or digital
scans.
5. Using specialised dental laboratory equipment and CAD/CAM technology where applicable
to design and manufacture dental appliances.
6. Ensuring all work meets required quality standards, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
7. Collaborating with dentists and other clinical staff to ensure prosthetic designs meet patient-specific requirements.
8. Maintaining laboratory equipment, tools, and a clean and safe working environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma or higher qualification in Dental Technology or a related field.
At least two years of relevant work experience as a Dental Technician.
Strong technical skills in the design and fabrication of dental prostheses, including crowns,
bridges, and dentures.
Knowledge of dental materials, laboratory procedures, and quality standards.
Experience using dental laboratory equipment and, where applicable, CAD/CAM systems.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to interpret dental prescriptions and work collaboratively with dental practitioners.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
