Senior Officer Contract – salary negotiable subject to experience.
Overview
Reporting to the Director City Planning and Infrastructure, this leadership role oversees three teams with approximately 35 staff across civil, urban and landscape design, construction, project management and supervision services. The role focuses on driving the Capital Works program, delivering high quality public buildings, civil infrastructure, open spaces and streetscapes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a diverse workforce of approximately 35 staff.
* Strategically manage project timelines, budgets and quality for capital works and construction projects.
* Foster internal and external partnerships to enhance service delivery.
* Lead change management and influence the Senior Leadership Team.
* Represent the Department within the Local Government environment.
Qualifications and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management or a related design discipline.
* Significant experience leading large and diverse workforces.
* Financial awareness and political acumen.
* Expertise in engineering, project management, capital works and construction.
* Strong strategic thinking, critical analysis and innovation skills.
