Our client is a leading national retailer currently seeking a Senior SRE Platform Manager to manage, maintain and improve their Data and AI platforms.
Your new role will see you managing the Ops Engineers and vendor resources responsible for maintaining the health and performance of the Data and AI platforms. This role will have you overseeing the planning, implementation and improvement of monitoring, alerting and DR processes. You will also lead and manage the Ops Manager and the SRE Manager to deliver scalable operations support across the platform. Join during a period of growth in the team you will also bring new ideas to the business to deliver automation, scalability and security. This role will require you to bring a wealth of leadership experience to help coach and develop DevOps Engineers and build an innovative culture.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven years of experience in IT operations, platform support, or DevOps engineering roles
* Experience managing technical operations teams supporting Data, AI, or ML platforms
* Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks), DevOps tooling, and monitoring systems
* Strong background in vendor management, including coordinating third‑party service delivery and contract oversight
* Leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on operational excellence
Our client is offering a full time permanent position with an opportunity to deliver significant change across the Data and AI platforms. Offices are based in Melbourne's inner suburbs with a requirement to be onsite 3 days per week.
