Qualifications & experience
* A self-starter with a sense of humor who enjoys variety and a busy environment
* Excellent verbal and written skills with strong attention to detail
* The ability to build genuine and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers
* A passion for providing excellent customer service
* An interest in health care and supporting our community
* A high standard of personal presentation
* Punctuality and reliability
* An ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
* Flexibility to work retail hours which will include some late nights and weekends
No experience in optics is necessary, however if you have a keen desire to learn and a willingness to undergo training with us to help you reach your full potential, we want to hear from you.
Tasks & responsibilities
* We are looking for a confident, hardworking individual who knows how to build rapport.
* Please only apply if you are available to work up to 5 days a week if required, (without restrictions,) between the following hours; Monday - Wednesday 8am-6pm, Thursday & Friday 8am-9pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am-5pm
* Your role will be as a Part Time team member who can also be on standby to cover sick leave as well as able to flex up to full time to cover annual leave.
* Your employment will be on the basis that you are available to flex up to full time as required. This will be to cover any leave as well as to support us over our busiest time of the year November to March.
* You'll be involved in all aspects of our customer's optometric journey from using high-tech pre-testing equipment to dispensing & frame styling.
* You'll work to healthcare guidelines (as well as our own high standards), give good clear advice because of your love for fashion & styling, & provide a great experience at every opportunity which exceed our customers' expectations
