ABOUT ENVIRONS KIMBERLEY
Environs Kimberley (EK) is the peak environmental NGO in the Kimberley. We are dedicated to preserving the health of the land and waters of the region through community campaigns, advocacy, and on-the-ground cultural and natural resource management projects.
Our purpose is to protect the nature of the Kimberley, with environmental and social sustainability as guiding principles.
We believe in the power of people to create change. We recognise and deeply value the rights and interests of Traditional Owners, as well as Indigenous ecological knowledge. We focus on community-based conservation, informed decision-making, best-practice scientific research, collaboration, partnerships, and organisational integrity.
EK is a family-friendly workplace, promoting a healthy work-life balance for our staff. As a community-based regional organisation, we collaborate with other environmental groups, First Nations groups, and communities at local, state, national, and international levels to develop and lead well-coordinated, effective campaigns.
