Job Description
The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is offering a two-year learning and development initiative for recent graduates in science, natural resource management, ecology, conservation, sustainability, geoscience, agriculture, urban and regional planning, computer science, engineering or related fields.
This program provides diverse roles across the Department, working across metro and regional Victoria. You will enjoy flexible work principles, including start times from 7am-7pm and hybrid work teams consisting of on-site and remote work.
As a graduate, you'll have opportunities to:
* Gain hands-on experience in areas such as forest and fire planning, spatial analysis, policy development, strategic risk, and emergency preparedness.
* Work with expert advisors who provide advice to the government on forest and fire management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must hold a degree in science, land management, ecology, or a related field.
Additional qualifications include:
* Knowledge of traditional owner rights and cultural practices.
* Understanding of environmental regulations and policies.
