Job Title: Registered Nurse
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families, and other health professionals.
The Team:
Launceston General Hospital Neonatal services have a fixed-term vacancy due to maternity leave. Ideally, we would be seeking a Registered Nurse with some neonatal experience in special care or neonatal intensive care but would welcome any registered nurse wanting to experience this area of nursing. We have an excellent supportive workplace, and everyone contributes and assists all staff.
The Role:
* Involve patients/clients and their families/significant others in the planning and implementation of care.
* Interact effectively with patients'/clients' families and other health team members to facilitate the provision of optimum patient/client care.
* Develop, implement and evaluate teaching plans for patients/clients that meet their learning needs and facilitate informed decision making.
Details of Appointment:
This is a fixed term, part-time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date until 14 February 2026.
Salary and Benefits:
* $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata)
* Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
* Salary Packaging: living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible

Requirements:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration
