About the position
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Regional Field Trainer
to join our team in the East, supporting our Open Cut Operations.
This role would suit an experienced
Shotfirer
and/or
MPU Operator
looking to develop their career in the training space.
Reporting to the Training Manager, you will primarily be responsible for coordinating and delivering operational training and development, and providing face to face training support to our site-based teams.
This role will require regular travel across our sites in the Eastern Region of our business. We encourage candidates from the Brisbane, Rockhampton, or Blackwater regions to apply
Core Accountabilities
Support Regional Operations in managing their training and development requirements in line with our Training and Development framework.
Work with sites to manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) records, identify gaps in training, recommend and implement plans for training and development of employees.
Liaise with our HSET team to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with internal standards, regulatory obligations and contract requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience working in the mining industry, particularly in MPU, Shotfiring, and blasting operations and related services
Competent computer user with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills with ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement and the delivery of quality outcomes
Analytical skills to extract data, identify gaps and prepare written reports
Relevant Training and Assessment qualifications (TAE***** / TEA*****)
Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS – Myosh highly regarded)
Shotfiring Licence & Competencies – QLD or equivalent
