**The Company**
Our client is a powerhouse FMCG manufacturer with multiple sites nationally and an established national customer base. Based in the Bendigo region the business is positioned to bring in an experienced strategic Logistics Manager to join the business and optimise their Supply Chain and distribution practices.
Based in the Bendigo region, this role will suit a solution focused Logistics professional experienced in driving change and continuous improvements. Reporting to the Site Manager they will be supported by a strong team and will enjoy visibility across the business during this exciting period of change.
**The Role**
Playing a pivotal role in the businesses distribution network this role will be responsible for
- Leadership and execution of all day-to-day operational responsibilities of the warehouse.
- Responsible for the development and transformation of a best in class supply chain operations.
- Manage and oversee the strategic direction and coordination of distribution activities for sites nationally.
- Strong focus on leadership and development of personnel, culture, efficiency, and costs.
- Ensuring DIFOT targets and service levels are consistently met.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the network and through suppliers.
- Managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Leading a direct team and further mentorship and guidance across a wider team for the two sites.
- Optimise customer service levels, ensuring they are met or exceeded, as well as leading and delivering on the company's strategic logistics objectives nationally.
**Your Background**
- A strong strategic minded Distribution or Logistics Manager with 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing.
- Experienced with sophisticated automated processes.
- Demonstrable experience developing best practice and systems.
- A natural leader, easily able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on outcomes and improve the distribution process.
- Engaging nature to ensure a genuine collaboration and team spirit, mínimal absenteeism and an ability to negotiate positive outcomes with external parties.
- Have strong analytical and financial skills coupled with an ability to influence outcomes.
